The home screen background for a scheme, as a CSS background value.
Generated from the same tokens as everything else, which is the point. A wallpaper used
to be a hand-written Tailwind class sitting next to a hand-written seed — two
independent choices that were free to disagree, and did: a gray gradient carried a blue
seed, so the picture and the colors it supposedly produced had nothing to do with one
another. Deriving it means a preset and a color picked off the wheel go through exactly
the same path, because a preset is a picked color.
primary-container rather than a surface tone, because the surfaces are deliberately
near-neutral in a dark scheme — a gradient between two of them is nearly black whatever
the seed, which is precisely the "I clicked it and nothing happened" complaint. The
container roles carry the hue at a tone you can actually see, and they are still scheme
colors rather than the raw seed, so the wallpaper stays part of the theme instead of
shouting over it.
Emitted as plain rgb() because it goes into an inline style and never passes through
PostCSS. Tailwind's own from-cyan-900 compiles to oklch() inside a gradient with no
hex fallback — unlike the flat color utilities, which do get one — so the class-based
wallpapers this replaced would not have rendered in CEF 103 at all (AGENTS.md §6).
