    Function useSystemHardwareWrite

    • OS Service Hook for changing the phone's hardware (MICA-127) — signal, cell service, bluetooth, volume, the ringer, and (Developer Tools only) faking a battery level. Separate from useSystemHardware(), which only reads it.

      Returns {
          previewNotificationTone: (id: string) => void;
          previewRingtone: (id: string) => void;
          setCharge: (level: number) => void;
          setNotificationTone: (id: string) => void;
          setRingMode: (mode: RingMode) => void;
          setRingtone: (id: string) => void;
          setSignal: (level: number) => void;
          setVolume: (val: number) => void;
          setVolumeStep: (percent: number) => void;
          toggleBluetooth: () => void;
          toggleCellService: () => void;
          toggleMute: () => void;
      }

      • previewNotificationTone: (id: string) => void

        MICA-256. Audition a notification tone; the same rules as previewRingtone.

      • previewRingtone: (id: string) => void

        Audition a tone from the settings pane. Ignores the ring mode (that is the control being configured) but not the mute or the volume — see SoundService.preview.

      • setCharge: (level: number) => void

        Developer Tools' battery slider used to call charge.set() directly; that bypassed this permission entirely, the same gap useClockWrite's setIs24Hour closed for is24Hour.

      • setNotificationTone: (id: string) => void

        MICA-256. Set the tone every notification plays, for the whole phone.

      • setRingMode: (mode: RingMode) => void
      • setRingtone: (id: string) => void
      • setSignal: (level: number) => void
      • setVolume: (val: number) => void
      • setVolumeStep: (percent: number) => void
      • toggleBluetooth: () => void
      • toggleCellService: () => void
      • toggleMute: () => void
